As one of the original bands of the Federation of Newfoundland Indians, the local Benoit's Cove Indian Band, now known as Elmastukwek First Nation, has been around for quite some time. We are located on the on the southern shore of Elmastukwek (Bay of Islands) which is on the West Coast of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland).

Our grassroots band consists of Indigenous members living within, or originally from, the communities between Halfway Point and Lark Harbour, with a demonstrated bloodline connection to the band.
